Vioxx Settlement Advance
Vioxx is a drug that was prescribed for arthritis, and for treatment of acute pain. Unfortunately, it had the side effect of leading to heart attacks, strokes and other health effects in some Vioxx users.
Merck, the manufacturer of the drug, has entered into a settlement agreement with Vioxx users. If you have a settlement agreement and are waiting to receive your Vioxx settlement, we may be able to assist you with a Vioxx settlement advance.
The documentation we need to see in order to consider your request for a Vioxx settlement advance is listed below.
- attorney/client retainer agreement
- proof of Vioxx usage of at least 30 pills
- medical proof of a Myocardial Infarction or an ischemic stroke
- receipt of the pills as proof of presumed ingestion of Vioxx within 14 days before the claimed injury
Your Vioxx settlement may be paid out in two parts. If you have already received the first portion of your settlement, and have been notified that you will be receiving a second payment and you need an advance on that second payment, then we may be able to assist you. We will need proof that you have already received the first payment and documentation stating the expected amount of the second payment.
A decision regarding whether a lawsuit funding advance can be made on your Vioxx case will usually be made in 1 or 2 days after receiving all the documentation listed above. If your Vioxx case qualifies for a lawsuit funding advance, a purchase agreement will be produced that both you and your attorney must approve before you can receive your Vioxx settlement advance.
