- Discuss your need for a pre-settlement cash advance with
your attorney. The cooperation of your attorney is needed in order for
you to obtain a
pre-settlement cash advance. We cannot help you unless your
attorney will support your request for a pre-settlement cash advance on
your pending lawsuit.
- Contact us at Chestnut Hill Funding using one of the
methods on
the contact us page.
- We will work with you over the phone to do a preliminary
screening of your lawsuit.
- If it appears to us your lawsuit may qualify for
pre-settlement
funding, we will ask you to provide more detailed information about the
circumstances surrounding your lawsuit. This
information is entered into a form that will become part of the
document package used in the detailed
evaluation of your lawsuit.
- The next step is for you to authorize your attorney to
release to us the documents for your lawsuit. We
will FAX a client authorization form to you that you will sign
and FAX back to us.
- We will then FAX your signed authorization form to your
attorney and request that the documents for your case be FAX'ed
to us. We will work your attorney until the documents for your
case are released to us. You can also assist in this process by
letting your attorney know that you have authorized the release
of documents for your case, and that you would appreciate it if they
make the documents available to us as quickly as possible.
- We will then prepare a package containing all the
information
for your case. This package will then be evaluated to determine
if your lawsuit qualifies for pre-settlement funding.
- If your lawsuit is approved for funding, you will be
presented
with a proposal specifying how much can be advanced and what the fees
for the advanced funds will be. You should review this proposal
with your attorney.
- If after review you decide to accept the proposal, you will
be asked to sign and notarize an agreement and your attorney will sign
the agreement too.
- After your signed agreement has been received you will be
sent a
check within 3 days for the advanced amount.
